Welcome to the MBMI HIV/AIDS FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Internet site.

The purpose of this site is to provide a way for networking our ministry partners together that we may share, both offering and receiving, materials on HIV/AIDS issues.

This site is in its first developmental stage. We would be grateful for all the assistance, suggestions and feedback you would like to provide for this ministry.

The site works by POINTING and CLICKING on the document or directory you wish to download.

To download a document or directory:

  1. Double click on the document or directory you want and a "DOWNLOAD" window will appear, asking your intentions.
  2. Choosing "Save" will cause the document DOWNLOAD window to open.
  3. At that time, you will select the folder, on your computer, where you want your selection to be stored.
  4. Or, you can view the document 'on screen' by double clicking "OPEN".
Another method for downloading would be:
  1. You can shrink your BROWSER WINDOW where the FTP screen is displayed by clicking on the 'minimize' box at the top right corner of the BROWSER screen or by
  2. Grasping the sides of the open window, click, hold, and drag the edges of the window until it is small enough to see your computer "DESKTOP".
  3. Having done this, you can RIGHT CLICK on your DESKTOP,
  4. Select NEW, and create a new FOLDER.
  5. Name the FOLDER "FTP".
  6. At that point, you can 'drag and drop' either the DOCUMENT or DIRECTORY you want from the FTP site into the FTP DIRECTORY you created on your computer DESKTOP.
  7. After DOWNLOADING, the selected file or directory will be available to you from your computer.
Some materials on the site have been included for experimental purposes only, so we can test the system.

I would encourage you to enter the "UPLOAD" section first to get an idea how the site might work. This directory contains only empty folders for test purposes. You may find some files in other folders which we included for testing only.

Eventually, as the site develops, entering any area other than the 'public' access area, will require a user name and password. This can be requested at: hivaids@attglobal.net
